几天前，有位同学预约美国使馆面签，早上8：30。估计是签证官早就审核过DS-160表了，开头就问了专业，欧裔女性签证官，还和学生确认了一遍专业，然后就检查收材料。随后，签证官居然给了同学一张行政审理单（黄纸），我们面签之前把所有的问题都分析过了，那就只剩下政策性因素才是最重要的唯一因素。
这不得不让人想起近段中美紧张关系和一系列摩擦时间。如果学术交流跟政治扯到一起，这个让人很愤恨不平！
借用美国人一句话：中国人研究出抗癌药物，也对美国国家安全构成威胁吗？
耶鲁大学校长为国际学生发声
这两天感概美国耶鲁大学校长的一段话，遇到签证或其他任何问题的国际学生和学者，大概意思是：遇到签证问题的国际学生，请联系耶鲁的国际学生和学者办公室。好希望我们学生申请美国大学，他们的校长也能和耶鲁大学校长Peter Salovey先生一样，为国际学生发声。
以下为耶鲁校长Peter Salovey声明原文（翻译版）：
近几周以来，美国和中国关系的紧张以及学术交流审查的加剧，增加了耶鲁大学和全美大学众多国际学生和学者的不安。
现在，我书写此信以申明耶鲁大学对国际学生和学者的坚定承诺，因为他们对于我们的大学社区至关重要。目前共有来自美国以外的123个国家的2,800余名学生在耶鲁学习，还有近2,700名国际学者在耶鲁进行研究和教学工作。来自世界各地的教职人员在这里创新知识、教导学生，并为我们的有“智”社群增添了不可估量的价值。他们共同为耶鲁大学的研究和教育事业做出了重要贡献。通过招收和引入才华横溢和前途无量的学生和学者到我们的校园，我们促进了新的发现，推动了耶鲁致力于“为今天也为后代改善世界”的使命。

Yale Reaffirms Commitment to International Students and Scholars

In recent weeks, tensions in United States–Chinarelations and increased scrutiny of academic exchanges have added to a sense ofunease among many international students and scholars here at Yale and atuniversities across the country.
I write now to affirm Yale’s steadfast commitment toour international students and scholars; they are vital to the universitycommunity. Over 2,800 students from outside the United States, representing 123countries, study at Yale. They are joined by nearly 2,700 internationalscholars who conduct research and teach. Faculty members from around the worldcreate knowledge, teach and mentor students, and add immeasurably to ourintellectual community. Together, these individuals make significant contributionsto Yale’s research and educational endeavors. Bybringing the most talented and promising students and scholars to our campus,we foster new discoveries and advance our mission of “improvingthe world today and for future generations.”
Our insistence on welcoming talented colleagues from around the worlddoes not detract from our dedication to the integrity of our research. Yaletakes seriously all of the legal and regulatory requirements that safeguard ourresearch enterprise and protect our scholars from the theft of intellectualproperty. In addition, I am working with my presidential colleagues in theAssociation of American Universities (AAU) to urge federal agencies to clarifyconcerns they have about international academic exchanges. The AAU hasencouraged agencies to use the tools already in place, such as export controls,while affirming the principle of open academic exchange for basic research.
We pair our unequivocal commitment to careful research stewardship withanother: international students and scholars are welcome and respected on ourcampus. We appreciate the expertise, creativity, and dedication they bring toour shared pursuit of knowledge and truth, and we affirm their belonging asmembers of the Yale community. I remind you that international students andscholars with any questions about their visas or other matters should contactthe Office of International Students and Scholars.
I will continue to advocate for government policies that support theability of international students and scholars to study and work in the UnitedStates. Openness—a key to the extraordinary success ofAmerica’s great research universities—must remain a hallmark of Yale.

签证官最常问到的几个问题
作为一个学生个体，我们无法干涉政治政策，也不可能改变国家层面的趋势。我们能做的，就是做好自己，在面对签证官的时候做到无懈可击。目前学生们已经陆续拿到了心仪学校的offer，接下来就要开始准备申请学生签证了。
在面签环节，签证官考察你是否具备去往美国读书的能力，包括语言水平和资金问题，还有主要考察你的出国目的，是否有移民倾向(这点很重要)。
1.个人问题
有关个人信息相关的问题，需要多方面准备一下，家庭情况也可能会问到。例如：
①Where are you from? Where is your hometown?
②What's your hobby? What do you do in your spare time?
③What do your parents do?(这里可以给签证官看一下你父母的工作证明、收入证明等)
④Do you have any relatives in US?
2.去往美国的目的
关于美国、要入学的学校、以后要读的专业相关的问题。例如：
①How long will you study in USA?
②Why do you want go to the United States for further study?
③Why do you choose this university? (这里强调一下，最好提前准备一下有关你要就读的学校的信息，多了解一下学校的特色，学校在哪个州哪个市都要非常清楚，要说清为什么选择这所学校)
④What will you study in the United States?(介绍你要学习的专业)
⑤Why do you want to study in the US?
⑥What is your academic background?(有可能会问到专业背景，可以给签证官看你的成绩单、简历，介绍一下自己做过哪些研究，自己喜欢的科目等等)
3.财务能力
你的财务能力相关问题，要想办法证明你可以负担得起在美国的学习生活费用。例如：
①Do you have any scholarship?
②How do you support yourself during your studies in the UnitedStates?
③Do you have a bank certification of deposit?
4.归国计划(主要表明毕业之后会回国发展)
关于你学习完成后，毕业以后会干什么的问题，注意这里是签证官直接体会你是否有移民倾向的部分，一定要把这里的回答准备充分，答的流利一点。例如：
①What is your study plan?
(这个可以特殊准备一下，就是未来几年在学业学术方面想怎么学习怎么提升，可以准备一个文件打印出来，到时候一边介绍一边拿给签证官看。)
②What will you do after graduation? Why?
③what kind of job can you find in the future?
④Give me three reasons that you will come back to China?
⑤Can you explain why 90% Chinese students didn’t come back?
⑥What is the thing you like best in America, or the thing you likebest in China?
5.发散问题
一些比较灵活比较发散思维的问题，这类问题我们不可能完全get到签证官的想法，无法确定他一定会问什么，如果签证官问到了你完全没准备到的问题，就随机应变不要紧张，当时怎么想就怎么答就好啦。例如：
①What is your favorite pet? Why?
②What's your best/worst quality?
③Who do you think is the best president of the US?
面签时我们要注意哪些方面？ 面签过程全程英文对话，注意语速的快慢，不要认为自己口语水平不错就刻意加快语速，这样可能导致签证官也提高自己的语速来考察你的水平。 对话过程注意语法正确，如果没有听清签证官的某句话不要自己揣测问题的意思，刻意礼貌的让对方再说一遍，确保理解问题的内容，做出相应的回答。
其实签证官每天要面对很多面签人员，没有过多的时间听比较细节性的回答，所以在回答问题尽量抓住重点，简明扼要，太细节的解释可以减少。
要正面回答签证官的每个问题，不要绕来绕去，答案要最切合实际，贴近自己的生活，不要只描述比较模式化比较空泛的内容。只有最真实最具体化的回答才最有说服力。
保持思路的清晰，所有回答都要联系到：自己未来的职业目标，回国的动机，家庭与自己密切联系的纽带，国内未来职业发展的前景等。
尽量非常清楚和具体的表达出自己真正的意思，一定不要让签证官有误解你某个回答的可能，误解就可能导致拒签。
总之，美国学生签证的拒签率不高，只是现在因为专业问题，进入行政审核的学生很多。只要做好充足的准备，保持乐观自信的态度，行为端庄得体，回答自然流畅，就一定没有问题!
